White House chief of staff John Kelly made headlines recently for suggesting that some illegal immigrants didn’t sign up for DACA because they were ‘too lazy.’ Democrats immediately took this as some kind of racist attack against Hispanics.
“There are 690,000 official DACA registrants and the President sent over what amounts to be two and a half times that number, to 1.8 million. The difference between 690 and 1.8 million were the people that some would say were too afraid to sign up, others would say were too lazy to get off their asses, but they didn’t sign up,” said Kelly.
Former Virginia attorney general Ken Cuccinelli went on CNN to defend John Kelly. Unfortunately he faced off against one of CNN’s most obnoxious reporters, Ana Navarro. Finally Cuccinelli had enough of Navarro and crushed her in an epic way.
“He started off — and you played the quote — some people think that they might have been scared and so they didn’t sign up, some people they might have just been lazy,” said Cuccinelli. Van Jones said the comments were ‘disrespectful.’ “Who cares? I care that people are breaking the law,” said Cuccinelli.
This set off Navarro who proceeded to talk over Cuccienelli. “The people who care are immigrants, I’ll tell you who cares — let me tell you who cares! Let me explain to you who cares. Can I answer your damn question of who cares? The people who care are the immigrants who are sick and tired of having this White House attack us and bash us on a daily basis!” screamed Navarro. “I’m sick and tired of listening to your shrill voice in my ears!” yelled Cuccinelli.
